Sticks

The stick is the one thing needed to play hockey. You should put lots of time in testing and deciding what kind of stick you want.

Streeet -

These sticks are mainly for street use only: Wooden sticks, Mylec sticks, Franklin Sticks, Aluminum (either street or roller).

Roller -

Aluminum, Graphite, Most sticks with fiberglass ends.

The Cheapest of all sticks is the Mylec or Franklin Stick. The cheapest version of these sticks are heavy wooden sticks with plastick ends that can be curved a lot (This is true for most Franklin and Mylec Sticks, but in some Franklin Sticks the end doesn't bend at all; for it is in the middle so it can be used by both leftys and rightys.) These sticks are good for first time street hockey players.

As players start to advance in experience and skill they will probably need a lighter stick. They should pick Koho Street Revolution Sticks or light Aluminum sticks. These sticks should cost no more than $30. The Street Revoulution costs about 15 and is a very light stick for to be made of wood. Aluminum sticks cost about $30 and they are about as good as you need for street use and are good for beginner - intermediate level roller hockey players. Most have a fiberglass end that is very durable. I own a $30 Easton Gretzgy stick that is red and aluminum(very light.) Easton makes some of the lightest sticks. Goto there website to see there lightest sticks.

For Intermediate-Expert level roller hockey players graphite is the best choice for sticks. These are the lightest and most durable of all sticks. The only downside of most of these sticks they will cost over $45 and they usually don't come with a stick end.
